About Us
1820 Marketing is owned and operated by Jake Starkey & Dorian Strickland, two marketing professionals with 30+ years of collective marketing experience.
In early 2020 the two, after having collaborating successfully on a number of marketing projects, decided to go into business together and purchased a coffee shop that was closing in their hometown of Alvin, Texas. Together they redesigned, rebranded and launched 1820 Coffee House.
Owning a coffee house allowed the two to collaborate on additional projects while utilizing the coffee house as a place to meet clients. After the success of 1820 Coffee House, despite a worldwide pandemic, Jake and Dorian decided to join forces and open 1820 Marketing to continue helping the local business community come through the pandemic.
